Restorative Justice Oak Bay

Welcome to the Restorative Justice Oak Bay (RJOB) Society’s website.
RJOB is a grass roots organization that has been serving the Municipality of Oak Bay in the province of British Columbia since December 2003. RJOB’s goal is to contribute an essential component to the community crime prevention strategy in Oak Bay. In response to violations, crimes, and conflicts, restorative practices aim to repair harms for victims, hold offenders accountable, and increase social responsibility and connectedness throughout the community.
As a community-based crime prevention strategy, RJOB is intended to work in collaboration with schools, police, the judicial system (i.e. Crown Counsel), the business sector, and neighbourhood associations. The Society’s mandate is to address crime and increase social responsibility by carrying out awareness raising and public education campaigns, and restorative justice conferencing in response to violations, crimes, and disputes.
